About our Principal. Stephanie Wilson, like many people in their career paths, took a winding journey to becoming a marketing and graphic design aficionado. At 17, she left the DC area and accepted an academic and music scholarship to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Her 4 years in college were spent studying, working in a Microbiology lab studying the pathogenic yeast, Candida albicans, all while drumming and traveling all around the U.S. with the Pride of the Southland Marching Band. Go VOLS!

She spent the next 8 years in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries learning a tremendous amount about business, health care, sales, marketing, and most importantly - people. Between internally and externally launching new drugs and blowing out her quota year after year,  she kept her creative outlet honed by taking classes and reading everything she could get her hands on in the field of graphic and web design. After their first daughter was born in 2007, she decided to retire from the North Carolina-to-California commute. With much encouragement from her husband and friends, she started her own business... and thus, Southern Ingenuity was born!
